Cookies summary

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • make the website work, including remembering your cookie choice;
  • understand how visitors use the site through Google Analytics 4, but only where you have given consent;
  • support secure payment through Stripe, and site security and spam protection through Cloudflare.

Your basket and delivery or collection choice are stored on your device, not in a login account. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not send marketing emails. The cookie banner on this site lets you accept or decline analytics cookies.

Who we are

Atlas Coffee is a small-batch coffee business based in Redditch, United Kingdom. In this privacy policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Atlas Coffee.

Contact email: atlascoffeeroasters@gmail.com

Business status: Sole Trader

This website is a shop for buying coffee for UK delivery or local collection in Redditch, plus a contact form and pages that explain the coffees and how we roast. There are no customer accounts and no newsletter signup.

The information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use the site:

  • Orders. Checkout is hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects the details needed to take payment, including your name, email address, billing address, and, for delivery orders, a UK shipping address. Stripe may also collect a phone number if you provide one. We receive the order itself (coffee, bag size, grind, quantity, fulfilment, and amount) and the customer details Stripe shares with us as the seller. We do not store your full card number.
  • Contact form and email. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, subject, and message. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to reduce spam and may process a verification token and your IP address for that check. Messages are sent to us using our email provider, Resend.
  • On your device. The site stores your basket, whether you chose delivery or collection, and your cookie preference in your browser (local storage). That information stays on your device unless you clear site data.
  • Analytics, if you consent. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, may collect technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and shop actions (for example adding coffee to the basket or completing a purchase). We do not use this to identify you by name.

How we collect your information

We collect information when you add coffee to a basket, check out with Stripe, use the contact form, email us, or choose cookie preferences.

Some technical information is collected automatically by the hosting and security services that run the site. Analytics cookies and similar storage are only used if you accept them.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • process and fulfil orders;
  • arrange UK delivery or collection in Redditch;
  • reply to enquiries;
  • keep records we need for the business, tax, and accounting;
  • run the website, reduce spam, and protect it from misuse;
  • understand how the shop is used, only where you have consented to analytics.

We do not sell your information, run advertising profiles, or add you to a marketing list.

Our lawful bases

We process personal information where it is needed to perform a contract with you, such as taking payment and sending or holding your coffee.

We may also process information for our legitimate interests: answering messages, keeping records, preventing misuse of the website, and running Atlas Coffee as a small business.

We rely on consent for Google Analytics. You can decline analytics cookies on the banner. That choice is stored on your device. To change it later, clear site data for this website in your browser and visit again, or email us and we will help.

Payments

Payments are processed on Stripe’s checkout pages. We do not see or store your full payment card details.

Stripe processes the personal information needed to complete and protect the payment. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for secure checkout and fraud prevention.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where it is needed to run the shop:

  • Stripe, for payments and checkout;
  • Cloudflare, for hosting, security, performance, and contact-form spam checks (Turnstile);
  • Resend, to deliver messages from the contact form to us;
  • Google, for analytics, only if you have consented;
  • Royal Mail or another courier, where we need an address to post an order.

Some of these providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. They describe their own safeguards in their privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep your information

Order and payment records are kept for as long as we need them for customer service, tax, and accounting, or to deal with a follow-up issue.

Contact messages are kept for as long as reasonably needed to reply and keep a record of the enquiry.

Basket, fulfilment, and cookie choices on your device last until you clear them. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and Google’s terms.

Where information is no longer needed, we aim to delete it or dispose of it securely.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, ask for information to be deleted, restrict or object to certain processing, and request transfer of your data where applicable.

If we rely on consent, you also have the right to withdraw that consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. This site also uses browser local storage for the basket, fulfilment choice, and cookie preference. That is not a login and it is not used to track you across other websites.

Types we use

  • Strictly necessary. Needed for the site, cookie banner choice, Stripe checkout, and security (including Cloudflare). These do not require consent.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, only if you accept analytics on the banner.

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

Analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 helps us see which pages are used, how people find the shop, and whether the basket and checkout are working. We use Google Tag Manager to load those tags, and Google consent mode so analytics storage stays off until you accept.

We do not use Google Analytics to identify you by name.

Stripe, Cloudflare, and Turnstile

Stripe may set cookies that are necessary for payment and fraud prevention when you check out.

Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies that are necessary to deliver the site securely. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile as a spam check.

Managing cookies

Use the cookie banner when it appears to accept or decline analytics. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies, or clearing local storage, can empty your basket or interrupt checkout.
